State fire fee ignites anger as bills go out

SACRAMENTO -- More than 800,000 Californians who own property in wildfire country will begin receiving bills this week for a new annual fire-protection fee, rekindling outrage among rural residents and leading to a likely lawsuit seeking to overturn the surcharge.

APPEAL OF THE BUILDING PERMIT. The Board of Appeals hearing regarding the Lafayette Park building permits occurred last night. SF Rec and Park prevailed with the Board unanimously voting to deny the appeal and uphold our permit. We would like to thank the Friends of Lafayette Park and all the park supporters who came out to speak in support for the project, and those who sent emails in support. However, we have learned that the appellant now has 10 days to request a re-hearing. During this period our permit remains on suspension. We should have more news to report after Labor Day weekend.

I think I was trying to demonstrate that I could do contribute to any part of the design process; from initial survey to producing designs and models for presentation. Mostly, I didn't model the vehicles and keyboard, although I did do a bit of modification.











It must of worked as I got the job, sometime early 2002. Oooo ten years ago.

Lower Granton Road - City of Edinburgh - AutoCAD 14 and 3D Studio MAX 1.0 (-ish)



I uploaded the old .avi files and let youtube attempt to frame correct and shaky-cam correct, with quite amusing results. And here is another short sequence from around the same time.



I cannot even remember why I created these, not for any part of the project nor any public presentation, but it was fun back on some very old City of Edinburgh Sun Sparks for the AutoCAD work and my own hand built windows machine for the 3D Studio MAX animation.

A reminder to myself to reread and go over the tutorials for 12d's most recent products (at least those I have limited trials versions for).
